This game is played on a 3 x 3 grid. The corner piles are the foundation piles, and the remaining five piles (the edge piles and the middle pile) are working piles.
The game begins with one card in the first foundation. This sets the pattern for the other three foundations, which must be started with the other cards of the same value. Once started, each foundation is built on using the next card of the same suit (i.e. in ascending order). When the foundation has a King on top, this can be covered by the Ace of the suit.
The five working piles begin with one card dealt onto each. The working piles can be built up in decreasing order regardless of suit or color. Whenever one of the working piles becomes empty, then it can be filled by a card from the deck or from another working pile. Only one card at the time can be moved from one working pile to another.
The deck can only be played through once, but previously discarded cards can be used providing all the cards above them have been moved.
The game is successfully completed if all cards are piled onto the foundation piles.
