Direct Oracle Access 3.0


If you use Delphi to access an Oracle database, this component set can make your life
a lot easier. With these five components (TOracleSession, TOracleLogon, TOracleQuery, 
TOraclePackage and TOracleDataSet) you access an Oracle database directly, skipping 
the Borland Database Engine only using (32 bits) SQL*Net. This gives you the 
following advantages:

· No distributing, installing and configuring the BDE
· You can use any 32 bits Delphi version to develop Client/Server applications
· No BDE overhead or tradeoffs: your queries will run up to five times faster
· The use of variants makes programming easy (null values, runtime type information)
· Automatic Master/Detail queries using TOracleDataSet
· You can use PL/SQL blocks for server logic in your application
· Automatically enforce server-constraints on the client using TOracleDataSet
· Make use of server generated values (defaults, triggers) in a TOracleDataSet
· Increase batch performance with array DML 
· Easy access to Packages 
· Compatible with Personal Oracle Lite up to Oracle8 and SQL*Net 1.0 up to Net8
· Many Oracle specific features supported (Savepoints, SQLTrace, SetTransaction, ...)
· Make use of Oracle8 features such as LOB's and Objects

Note: The TOracleDataSet is only available for Delphi 3. Consequently, you can only
use data-aware components when developing with Delphi 3.

THIS IS AN EVALUATION COPY

will only work when Delphi is running.
