If you have the ability to boot CD-ROMs and have access to a
CD-ROM burner, then consider trying this CD image. It provides
a menu allowing you to choose between MINI or FULL install disks.
Also available is just the ability to boot FreeDOS, useful
for diagnostic purposes or to just try FreeDOS.
View the readme for more information and errata.

Multiboot Disk Emulator and Dos CD-Rom driver

The homepage for diskemu is http://www.nu2.nu/diskemu

---------------------------------------------------------
Bart has graciously granted permission for the diskemu files and its
associated eltorito CD-Rom driver to be distributed by me on this
CD-ROM ISO image and for others who obtain the ISO image or a CD-ROM
of it, to distributed the ISO image and/or CD of the image provided
proper credit for diskem1x.bin & eltorito.sys are given and a link
to the diskemu web site are provided.
It should be noted, that I will only have the latest version of the ISO image available here.
Note: There still may be some odd quirks when running FreeDOS
from CD-ROM, but it seems fine in my limited testing so I am
making this available to others. However, it will only work
correctly with FreeDOS' SHSUCDX and not with Microsoft MSCDEX.
Note: Others have reported problems that were corrected by
using the OEM driver for their CD drive.
Even if you can't boot CDs, this image can still be useful if
you create a boot disk and add CD support to it. Then you can either
install FreeDOS avoiding creating all the boot disks as \DISKSETS\
contains all the necessary files, or to run the included FreeDOS
programs without installing them to your hard drive as \FDOS\
has the full normally installed files.
