FreeDOS on bootable CD-ROM

Description:

If you have the ability to boot CD-ROMs and have access to a CD-ROM burner, then consider trying this CD image. It provides a menu allowing you to choose between MINI or FULL install disks. Also available is just the ability to boot FreeDOS, useful for diagnostic purposes, BIOS upgrades or to just try FreeDOS.

Please keep in mind FreeDOS is still BETA software and there is no warranty, etc. for its use. Please backup any important data before use, as we [the FreeDOS developers, etc.] are not responsible for any damage or other as a result of its use.

IMPORTANT:

Note: There still may be some odd quirks when running FreeDOS from CD-ROM, but it seems fine in my limited testing so I am making this available to others. In some cases it may be necessary to use the OEM CD driver for your CD drive.
Even if you can't boot CDs, this image can still be useful if you create a boot disk and add CD support to it. Then you can either install FreeDOS avoiding creating all the boot disks as \FREEDOS\INSTALL\DISKSETS\ contains all the necessary files, or to run the included FreeDOS programs without installing them to your hard drive as \FREEDOS\FDOS\ has the full normally installed files.
