Is there any way in the Linux network architecture that
a program in the user space can get extended network
statistics from an ethernet driver for example ?
I would like to have information on collisions on the
ethernet bus... If I can get collision timestamps this
would be great.
It is to be used to retrive network statistics, in both
terms of useful trafic (that one tcpdump does it well)
and bus occupation time (that one tcpdump and snifing
device do not do it !)...
