"id" means Internet Draft format. Please look them over. In a few days (next weekend), if no one spots problems with them, I'll "publish" them by moving them over to the png/documents directory, and will initiate the RFC/W3C process. Unless errors are discovered in the png documents, we'll move them to pub/png/documents early next week. The draft-png-* document will be submitted to the IETF for publication as an Internet-Draft and subsequently as a replacement RFC for RFC-2083.
