Short: ShutDown Program for use with StartMenu and CyberGraphX Author: Manolis S Pappas (mpappas@ba.aegean.gr) Uploader: Manolis S Pappas (el93637 central ntua gr) Type: util/wb Architecture: m68k-amigaos Requirements: AmigaOS 3.0+, CyberGraphX This program is intended for users running CyberGraphX software and the taskbar utility StartMenu by MoppSoft (although the program can be used with other launchers, too). When this program is run, it will scan the Exec lists for all available tasks and will find out which one of them performs read/writes access. It will wait until all tasks have finished accessing the disk (the hard disk mostly) and then will open a CyberGraphX screen of 640x480x8 with a nice Amiga logo, informing the user that s(he) may safely turn off the computer. To use this program with StartMenu, simply copy it in your StartMenu drawer (not in the StartUp drawer) and create a file named "ShutDown.Script" in this drawer. This file should contain the command to launch this program. This program was written in CanDo v3.08 by Inovatronics Inc. I decided to write it in CanDo (instead of C that I use) because: 1) I want to create such a program REALLY fast and 2) because scanning Exec lists is a bit tricky in C. Therefore, I have included a smaller version of this program for users that have the CanDo v3.08 library. This software is provided as FREEWARE, but it remains COPYRIGHTED by Infinity Labs Development Organization. You may pass it to others, provided that all files remain unaltered and present in the archive.
